At Green Valley Grains, Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the incredible women in our lives — mums, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, partners, and friends — while also taking a moment to reflect on the importance of health, awareness, and early detection.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the return of our “Pink by Nature: Green Valley for a Cure” promotion for 2026.
From May through to July, $1 from every special-edition pink 20kg Open Range Poultry Mix bag sold will be donated directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), helping fund vital research toward their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. Following the incredible success of last year’s campaign, which raised $50,000 in 2025, Green Valley Grains is committed to raising another $50,000 in 2026.
From mid-April, customers will begin seeing the iconic pink bags appear in-store — featuring the same trusted Open Range Poultry Mix, same barcode, and same pricing, with the added benefit of helping support an important cause with every purchase.
Why Early Detection Matters
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting Australian women, but research continues to show that early detection saves lives. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, detecting breast cancer early gives people the best possible chance of successful treatment and survival.
Regular breast screening appointments and mammograms can help identify cancer before symptoms appear. BreastScreen Australia recommends women aged 50–74 have a free mammogram every two years, while women over 40 are also eligible for free screening.
Just as importantly, breast awareness plays a vital role. Knowing what is normal for your body and speaking to your doctor if you notice changes can make a significant difference.
A Reminder to Have the Conversation
Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to check in with the people you love. It’s a reminder to encourage the important conversations — reminding mums, daughters, sisters, and friends to book their regular breast screening appointments and prioritise their health.
Sometimes a simple conversation can be the encouragement someone needs to take action.
By supporting the Pink Bag initiative, our customers are not only helping fund world-class breast cancer research, but also helping raise awareness about the importance of screening, education, and early detection across our communities.
Every Pink Bag Makes a Difference
When you purchase a pink bag of Green Valley Grains Open Range Poultry Mix, you are directly contributing to the future of breast cancer research in Australia.
Together, we can continue supporting life-saving research, promoting awareness, and encouraging more Australians to prioritise their health.
Look out for the pink bags in-store from mid-April and join us in helping make a difference — one bag at a time.
