Is Poultry Part of Your Family?
Having a small backyard flock of chickens is a growing trend in Australia and it is not just people living in the country who enjoy raising chickens. More and more people living in more urban areas are enjoying the benefits. Chickens are easy, inexpensive pets with great benefits.
Backyard and free ranged hens produce eggs that are very nutritious and great tasting. Chickens make fantastic pets for children and make a wonderful addition to the family. Free range chickens also help out in the garden, keeping bugs and weeds at bay whilst fertilizing the soil.
So why not get all the benefits from these wonderful animals and add a small flock to your family!
What Our Customers Have To Say About Us
"I have been feeding my budgies and small parrots the Green Valley Small Parrot Mix on a daily basis for over 10 years. I feel that the birds really enjoy the quality, the consistent blend and the cleanness (dust-free) of the seeds and importantly at the end of the day there is no wastage."

Meet the Team Behind Green Valley Grains
For nearly 25 years, I've built my career at the intersection of nutrition, product development, and commercial strategy across the stockfeed, equine, and pet food sectors. I specialise in translating technical nutrition expertise into commercial outcomes—developing products, brands, and marketing strategies that resonate with retailers, feed mills, distributors, and end customers.
In my current roles with Eastern Distributors and Green Valley Grains, I lead marketing, brand development, and product formulation across a portfolio of 12,500+ SKUs, including equine, poultry, small animal and companion pet categories. From launching new feed lines to driving growth through category insights, I’m passionate about elevating product quality, strengthening market presence, and supporting retailers with meaningful, data-driven marketing.
Beyond the commercial space, I serve as Chair (VIC/TAS) and National Vice Chair with the Stockfeed Manufacturers Council of Australia (SFMCA). I work closely with government and industry stakeholders to lift standards, shape regulation and champion continuous improvement across Australia’s stockfeed sector. My career is driven by a simple goal: advancing the health, performance and wellbeing of animals through better nutrition, education and industry collaboration.
